Tecno is preparing to expand its Pova series of smartphones in India. The company has confirmed that it will launch the Pova 5 series of smartphones in India on August 11 at the upcoming World of Technology event. The Tecno Pova 5 series consists of two smartphones — Pova 5 and Pova 5 Pro 5G. Along with the two smartphones, the company will also showcase its other prominent products at the event.
“This latest POVA 5 series includes the POVA 5 Pro 5G and POVA 5, thoughtfully engineered to cater to the demands of young, upbeat, and elite Gen Z consumers. The phone is designed keeping in mind the lifestyle of zillennials, who are constantly on their phone for all purposes, multitasking through- gaming, social media, financial applications, and more,” the company said in a statement.
Tecno Pova 5 Pro details
Tecno shared a teaser image of the yet-to-launch Tecno Pova 5 Pro. The image released by the company showcases the smartphone’s distinctive Arc interface. This interface on the Pova 5 Pro will feature LED lights integrated into the rear panel, promising a unique and innovative user experience. These LED indicators are anticipated to primarily serve as notification alerts.
The Tecno Pova 5 Pro stands as the second smartphone to adopt a design reminiscent of the Nothing Phone (2). Notably, Infinix, another prominent smartphone manufacturer, has also provided a glimpse of its upcoming gaming smartphone, which will likewise embrace a design akin to the Nothing Phone (2).
Tecno Pova 5 Pro is powered by an octa-core MediaTek 6080 processor. The smartphone sports a 6.78-inch FHD+ display with 120Hz refresh rate.

Tecno Pova 5 sports a 6.78-inch FHD+ screen with 1080×2460 pixel resolution. The smartphone is powered by a MediaTek Helio G99 chipset coupled with 8GB of RAM. The smartphone comes in two storage options — 128GB and 256GB.
The smartphone runs Android 13 operating system topped with the company’s own layer of HiOS 13. Tecno Pova 5 sports a 50MP main sensor and a secondary AI camera. The smartphone is backed by a 6000 mAh battery with 45W fast charging support.
