OnePlus unveiled the Keyboard 81 Pro, its first mechanical keyboard, earlier this year. Last month, the company announced the pricing for the device in India. The Keyboard 81 Pro, which is made from aluminum and has hot-swappable keycaps, is now available for purchase in some regions. However, customers in India will have to wait to buy the device.

The OnePlus Keyboard 81 Pro is currently being sold in the US, Canada, and Europe. In India, customers can only purchase the keyboard if they have an invitation code. To obtain the code, they must keep an eye on official OnePlus campaigns, community forums, and media channels. The Keyboard 81 Pro is priced at Rs 17,999 in India and is available in two color options, Winter Bonfire and Summer Breeze.

The Keyboard 81 Pro takes inspiration from the Keychron Q1 Pro, featuring an 81-key layout. OnePlus has added its own unique touch with red and white accents, an aluminum frame, and the iconic alert slider found in OnePlus phones.

The keyboard delivers an exceptional typing experience with OnePlus’ “marble-mellow” keycaps, designed for durability and tactile feedback. The hot-swappable keycaps allow for easy customization for users who prefer different options.

To meet the demands of intense typing scenarios, OnePlus has developed custom switches with a tactile peak point of 0.5mm, ensuring optimal performance. Users can choose between the Winter Bonfire switch known for its tactility or the Summer Breeze switch designed for quieter operation.

Customization is a key feature of the Keyboard 81 Pro, with customizable RGB lighting that lets users create their desired visual experience. The keyboard also supports open-source firmware like QMK and VIA, allowing users to remap keys and customize RGB effects without the need for firmware re-flashing.

Powered by a 4000mAh battery, the Keyboard 81 Pro offers up to 100 hours of usage with RGB lighting active, ensuring extended periods of typing without frequent recharging.
